We have been doing Boarding and Board and Train for our clients for over 25 years!!
We have an enormous amount of experience and knowledge when it comes to training dogs. NO ONE ELSE comes close to our extremely high standards, is as thorough as we are, offers everything that we offer,
or can accomplish what we accomplish in such a short time-frame with the dogs!
The dogs we take in for boarding or training stay with our trainers inside their homes!
This cuts WAY down on stress, and the possibility that your dog will get sick (will catch a dangerous disease like parvo, kennel cough, & influenza - to name just a few), or will get infected with a parasite, get mange, get depressed / anxious, get diarrhea, not want to eat, etc. By staying with our trainer inside their home 24/7, they get a ton of individual attention. Dogs do extremely well in our trainer's home environments! They dont learn, or get away with, any bad behavior and always come back even better behaved, more confident, and much calmer and relaxed because of being in such knowledgeable and experienced hands all day and all night. The dogs really love being with our trainers. There simply is no comparison between staying inside our trainer's home or staying in a cold, crowded, often filthy, extremely noisy, highly-stressful, and dangerous commercial boarding kennel environment.
We use Balanced Training! We use treats, toy play, and lots of praise to motivate your dog to want to respond and work, and use a training collar that suits your dog's temperament to reinforce the commands. This makes for a happy, responsive, and reliably trained dog!
BOARDING
Please note: We cannot take in dogs for just Boarding that have never stayed with one of our trainers for Board and Train prior. With such limited space at our trainer's homes, we can only take in dogs for just Boarding that we already know very well because they have stayed with us prior for Board and Train.
** If your dog has stayed with one of our trainers prior for training and you need to just Board them, contact us to see if we have availibility for the dates that you need. We will try our best to fit them in... we love our alumni! **
Our Minimum Requirements For Our Board and Train Are:
1. Must be a minimum of 4 months of age
2. Have completed all Puppy DHPP (or DAPP) Series Vaccinations (and the Rabies vaccine if 6 mo of age or older)
3. Must already be crate trained
4. For dogs that are not yet fully house and potty trained, are able to stay in a crate (the crate size would match the dog's size) inside our trainer's home for 2 - 3 hr long stretches during the day and 8 hrs at night without being destructive, without separation anxiety, or having any potty accidents.
5. For dogs that are already fully house and potty trained, are able stay in a minimum sized 6' x 6' kennel inside our trainer's home for 2 -3 hr long stretches during the day and 8 hrs at night without being destructive, without separation anxiety, or having any potty accidents.
6. Must not have ANY human aggression (they do not bark or lunge at people while in public, must not have bitten or have tried to bite someone while in public or when someone visited your home or a family member.) Because the dogs we take in for training stay inside our trainer's homes with their own families (NOT at a boarding kennel) this is a must for the safety of everyone that will be around the dog.
7. Must not have moderate - severe dog aggression (especially if they are 7 months or older) as the dogs we take in for training stay inside our trainer's homes around their own dogs.
** mild dog aggression can be acceptable for young dogs under 7 mo, we can set up an evaluation prior to see if we can take them in for training if they have this issue.
8. Must not have separation anxiety (crying / whining / howling, barking, get destructive, try and escape / break out, chew on themselves or the kennel, etc.,) when they are left alone in the house or in a crate or kennel.
9. Unspayed females cannot be in heat while staying with us. If you have an unspayed female, let us know and we will work around her heat cycles.
10. Must be injury free (have no wounds of any kind or are limping, etc.)
11. Must not have any serious health issues.
12. Cannot have any current infections (i.e. of the skin, ear, eye, etc.,)
13. Must not have anything contagious (i.e. kennel cough, mange, K9 Influenza, lepto, etc.)
14. Dogs with a history of loose stools must be diarrhea free for at least a week prior to us getting them.
15. Must be internally parasite free (confirmed by your vet via a stool sample prior to us getting them for the training.)
16. Must be flea and tick free.
** We have these sixteen minimum requirements in place to not only protect our trainers, their families, and their own dogs, but to protect YOUR DOG as well!
We also teach the dogs so much more than anyone else does and, in a very short time-frame, so its imperative that the dogs we take in meet these requirements so that we can accomplish everything that we need to with each of them.
** If your dog has moderate - severe dog aggression issues, human aggression issues, separation anxiety, or isnt crate / potty trained, we can help you through our huge variety of classes or through our private one on one lessons. Please contact us for more details at info.siriusk9academy@gmail.com

PACKAGE THREE (Level III)
Advanced Obedience Training (Training time duration = 5 - 6 weeks.) Cost: (Yorba Linda) $5,350.00 - $6,225.00 / (Flagstaff): $5,050.00 - $5,925.00 Dogs in for this level of training must be able to pass both our Basic and Intermediate Obedience Tests (or have completed our Package One and Two training) prior to coming in for this level of training. Dogs are trained using a remote collar at this level due to the long distance the commands are given and because it is all off leash work. The remote collar must be supplied by the owner.
Ask us for Remote Collar recommendations - We only use a remote collar with tone, vibrate, nick, and static correction options so that it will suit any dog's temperament.
Please note; If your dog has not been trained to work on a remote collar before coming in for this level of training, this will add on an additional week as well as additional fees as we need to introduce the dog to the remote which takes time (at least a week.) The second price includes the remote collar training. ** We split up this level between two different stays with us (i.e. a 2 week and a 3 week stay or a 3 week and a second 3 week stay.)
** To see what your dog will learn while with us for this training package, please see our Advanced Obedience Level Standards using the link below =

OPTIONAL ONE-WEEK TRAINING ADD-ONS
You may also add-on a week or more of additional training by selecting from the options below. You may also mix any of the options below instead of doing one of the packages above (if your dog can already pass our basic obedience test) but please note that the cost of the add-ons below is a bit more if you choose to only do add-ons and not one of the packages above:
~ Remote Collar Training We teach your dog to respond to all the new formal commands on a Remote Collar while off-leash (using a Remote Collar with vibration, tone, and stimulation options.)
Please note: You must supply the Remote Collar for the training (we can recommend one for you to purchase or can supply one for you if you do not already have one at an additional cost - the cost of the collar.)
~ Distraction / Socialization / Environment Training We will do environmental work with your dog, working your dog around heavy pedestrian and car traffic, at shopping centers, as well as inside various stores. This is a great option if you have a dog that is very easily distracted or was not properly socialized as a puppy before 6 months of age or you have a puppy under 6 months and want to help them reach their potential and improve their confidence.
~ Obedience Training Although we cannot complete the training for the next level in this time frame, we can begin working on some of the new exercises in the next level / phase, giving you a step-up on your dog's training with even more new commands and control. This is also a great option if you plan on attending our Intermediate Obedience Classes with your dog, to help give you and your dog a head-start.
** The Cost of the add-on options above is $975. per option if you choose to add-on one or more to a training package.
** The cost is $1150 per add-on if you choose to do just add-ons and no training package.
In addition to being taught the specific Obedience Commands of the obedience package and any add-ons you choose above, we also teach your dog the following while they are with us;
- Wait at all doors and gates
- To not jump up (on people or the counter, etc)
- Go Potty on command
- Wait to eat
- To go into their crate or kennel on command
- Wait before they can exit their crate or kennel
- Wait before loading up in the car
- To load up into a crate in the car
- To climb up on a training box (or go to their place) and stay there
- That they must be quiet while in their crate or in the kennel
- To take treats nicely
- To release their toy upon command when playing
- No barking at other dogs or people while out and about
- To be calm
- Leave It
- Stop / That's Enough
- To not bite hands or the leash
- To focus on the handler
Upon dropping your dog back to you; - We cover everything your dog has learned while with us and have you handle the dog before you go home with them. The drop off lesson usually lasts at least 2 hours. - We also do a follow up lesson with you and your dog approximately 2 - 3 weeks later to see how things are going and to give you any additional help / tips as far as handling the dog better. - Additional follow up lessons can be scheduled if needed / upon request.
We always encourage our clients to use brand new words in a different language when their dog comes in to us for training (such as German, Czech, French, Spanish, Dutch, etc.) Most people ruin their English words before we get their dog for training by repeating the commands over and over, using treats in their hand, bending over or pointing as they say them, not reinforcing the commands properly, yelling the commands, etc. Because of this, it is extremely beneficial to begin with brand new words when your dog comes to us for training which will have much more meaning to your dog. We call these new commands their "Formal Commands" which they must respond to immediately and should be used when you are in public or have company at the house. These new commands are their "working commands" that you must reinforce immediately and consistently and should only be used when your dog is on leash and wearing their training collar. This way, your dog will never get away with not responding to the new commands right away, on the first command, and their response to commands will always be reliable. When you are home just relaxing, and your dog is off leash and isnt wearing their training collar, then you should use your English commands because your dog is not working (and you cannot reinforce the new commands.) We call their English commands their "In formal commands." This way, you will not ruin the training we have done with your dog and your dog will be much more relaible and responsive when you need them to be. We can assist you with selecting the new training commands in a different language and give you several options if you do not have an idea already of which words you would like us to use that are in a different language.
** If you would like to do more than one level of training (such as basic and intermediate, or basic - advanced), we would break up your dog's stay with us in order to give you a chance to learn and reinforce the new commands at your home with your dog in between each level, and to keep that special bond with your dog.
** We offer a discount if you prepay for at least two training packages in advance.
Please contact us for more details at info.siriusk9academy@gmail.com or by calling 714-296-9714.
