Happy Fall!

As fall approaches so does the wonderful cooler weather and of course the Holidays. Keep your pet safe with some of our tips for the Halloween holiday as well as sign up for some of our new courses starting this October!

Next Therapy Dog class begins October 25th!

The purpose of the Therapy Dog is to bring happiness and cheer to people who need something to hold and love. Pet visits often trigger memories of animals they used to own. They increase emotional well being, promote healing, and improve the quality of life for the people being visited and the staff that cares for these people. Dogs have been effective in reaching people and children who have become socially withdrawn or feel alone in their current struggles. The regular visits also give patients and residents something to look forward to.

Our program is designed to help dog owners prepare their dogs for therapy work. Therapy dogs are able to work in various locations such as nursing homes, hospitals and schools, as well as work with the mentally and physically handicapped.
 

NEW!! A (6-week) Trick Class begins Thursday October 25th! - Serena Cryar is available to take formal studio portraits at Sirius K9 Academy in Yorba Linda. Formal Studio Portrait Cost: $30. Sitting fee (which includes one free 5 x 7 print.) She can also take informal pictures of your dog in action! Halloween Safety for your four legged pals! - Leaving your pets outside on Halloween is not a good idea! There are plenty of tales of malicious people who tease, injure, steal, torture, or even kill people’s pets on Halloween. Not to mention that dogs and cats can scare easily with all the trick-or-treaters coming to your house. Keep them safe!
