MORE BIG CHANGES! WE HAVE A NEW WEBSITE!

The new website is up and running. Keep checking back as we make changes often.
Don't forget to add your dog to our Photo Gallery and write a testimonial on our Client Comments page! We'd love to see all of you on our website!

We will be adding new information to the website, including Training Tips, a Referral
Program and more information about our new School for Dog Trainers. Our new website
will also feature videos of our Dog Obedience Tests. All three levels of our obedience
tests will be demonstrated by a few of our clients, and will be available for viewing
very soon. It's a great way to see what you and your dog can aspire too!

We have also added a Client Network page to our website. If you own your own business, check it out!

FALL FUN! THINGS TO DO WITH YOUR K9 FRIEND THIS FALL!

Now that the dog days of summer are coming to an end and as we get back into our regular routines with the kids back at school, we musn't forget about our dogs. This is the perfect time to register your dog in a class and maybe even try something new!

As always, we have our Agility and Field Trip classes, both of these classes are held outdoors. We also have Therapy Dog and Trick Training classes starting this month, so come out and enjoy the cooler weather and have some fun with your dog at the same time!

Congatulations to Norma & K9 Bella, Barbara & K9 Lucas and Judy & K9 Tabitha, for passing the Canine Good Citizen test. The next AKC Canine Good Citizen test date is scheduled for September 27th.

We are also very excited to introduce some new classes to our schedule, so if you
and your dog are looking for something new to try, we just might have what you are
looking for!

Earlier this year, we introduced our new Puppy Manners class, we also now have a Tracking class which is held on Sunday mornings, as well as a Competition Obedience class held on Tuesday evenings.
We now offer a daytime Basic Obedience class in Huntington Beach (starts Sept. 29th at 10AM), as well as a Sunday evening class in Laguna Hills (starts Sept. 27th at 6:30PM). Both of these classes will be held outdoors. For more information on the locations, contact us.

We also now offer a K9 Safety Class for employees and volunteers working with vet hospitals, rescue organizations, shelters and kennels. This class is extremely beneficial for those working with dogs. The first one was a huge success, so be sure to sign up for the next class on September 25th.

As always, a printable version of our latest class schedule is posted on our website.

PET TIP

Disasters can strike with little or no warning. Are you and your pet prepared?

In addition to your family's disaster kit, you should assemble an animal evacuation kit. Here is a list of items your kit should include:

~ A crate & bedding for each pet.

~ ID tags (in case the one's your pets are wearing become lost).

~ A 2-week supply of food and water for each pet, manual can opener & dishes.

~ Plastic bags, paper towels, newspapers, disinfectant.

~ A collar, leash, harness and muzzle or gauze roll for each pet. (If he's hurt your pet may try to bite you.)

~ Records, including current medical & vaccination records and tags, microchip numbers, copies of health certificates and proof of ownership (eg. a current picture of you with your pets).

~ Pet comfort items (eg. towels, blankets, toys).

~ A list of boarding kennels and hotels/motels that accept pets.

~ Detailed instructions for animal care and rescue workers, including any special dietary, medical or behavioral issues.

~ A pet first-aid kit, including extra bottles of daily medications and/or copies of prescriptions.

Make sure your pets have identification on them in case you are separated. ID tags and microchips. Make sure your chip is registered with a national database.

Place stickers on your doors, in case you are not home, notifying emergency personnel of the pets in your house and where to find them and their evacuation kit.  A doggy door allowing access to outside can save a dogs life in case of a disaster.
