Rules & Guidelines for our Training Classes

RULES & GUIDELINES

1. Everyone attending our training must sign a waiver (or have one on file signed during the current year.) This includes signing a waiver for your children (if under 18 years old) and even if you are just observing.

2. Dogs must remain on leash (and the leash held in the handler’s hand) at ALL times unless told otherwise by one of our trainers/instructors.

3. Children under 14 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian 18 years or older. (The parent or guardian supervising must be other than the person handling the dog.)

4. Anyone handling a dog in class must be 14 years or older.

5. Any dog showing aggression (i.e. – growling, barking, lunging, or attempting to bite) another dog or person in class must wear a basket-style wire, plastic, rubber, or leather muzzle during class. (Slip-on nylon style muzzles are not permitted. You must provide a muzzle for your dog if it is aggressive in any way with other dogs or people.)

6. Dogs can not be left tied out or otherwise unattended for any period of time during class unless told otherwise by one of our trainers/instructors.

7. You must pick up after your dog or you will be asked to leave.

8. Anyone seen hitting, kicking, or abusing their dog in any way, will be asked to leave – permanently.

9. Female dogs in heat are not allowed at our training locations or in class.

10. No sick dogs. If your dog is on medication for an infection or has vomited or had diarrhea less than 24 hours before class, please don’t bring the dog!

11. No sandals or flip flops if you are the handler! (Please wear solid shoes like tennis shoes if you will be handling the dog.)

12. No one under 18 yrs is permitted at our Personal Protection training classes.
